Hélio António was born and raised in Europe’s West Coast, Portugal. A native to Nazaré, the Portuguese lensman was able to see the extraordinary beauty of Praia do Norte and began capturing images along Portugal’s silver coast.

As a passionate photographer and waterman, he continues to evolve and grow to push the boundaries of the lens. Beyond shooting water, Hélio enjoys shooting anything else that inspires him to photograph.

Hélio is the winner of the first edition Praia do Norte Photography Awards. His winning photo, “The Man and The Mountain” is on display at the Fort of S. Miguel Arcanjo for 2020.
